About West Chester, PA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The Borough of West Chester is located in Chester County, Pennsylvania, approximately twenty-five miles west of the city of Philadelphia.    Originally known as Turk’s Head, after the inn of the same name that opened there in 1762, West Chester became the county seat in 1786 before incorporating as a borough in 1799.

West Chester is home to more than 18,000 citizens who enjoy the myriad of cultural, historical, and recreational amenities located throughout the borough, as well as the beautiful seasonal climate that produces variable weather conditions of hot humid summers, cold snowy winters, and lovely mild weather during spring and fall.

Residents and visitors alike can explore the rich history and local culture of the area through the extensive resources of the Chester County Historical Society, where they will find programs, activities, and special events, as well as a museum full of galleries and exhibits featuring treasures that include a nationally recognized collection of decorative arts from the 18th and 19th centuries, a manuscript and photo collection of over 80,000 items dating back to the 1840s, an interactive history lab, and permanent and rotating exhibits featuring artifacts and memorabilia from as far back as the mid-1700s.  West Chester’s entire Downtown District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and features more than 4,000 structures dating back to the Colonial period.

The borough is home to eleven city parks maintained and operated by the West Chester Parks and Recreation Department, more than fifty award-winning restaurants, eateries, and sidewalk cafes, and a number of annual festivals and special events that celebrate the unique cultural and character of the area.

West Chester’s excellent schools, progressive economy, numerous community amenities, and ease of access via US Routes 202 and 322, West Chester Pike, and Interstate 76 are just some of the reasons West Chester is known as one of the world’s most perfect small towns!
